I would like to thank all of you who have responded to my cry for help to house Zurie for a short while - I had no idea what a hornets nest I was going to stir up - I would never have mentioned the p word if I had know that I should have attended a course. I do intend to become a full member and support Birdline - I should then have the chance to further my knowledge on parrot handling and any other issues arising from the ownership of these characters. I am now delighted to say that Zurie has found a holiday home 6 miles away from here! Great relief all round! Happy New Year to all of you Peter, Julia and Zurie

That's great news Peter. We do hope that you will join in the New Year and help other birds. Unfortunately using the p word is causing panic at the moment, as it is a scary prospect for people who keep birds, although possibly some people have got it a little out of proportion. But you definitely don't need to expose Zurie to unnecessary risk.
