Our 2 CAGS don't really like 'conventional' toys. They do however enjoy rolled up newspaper in toilet roll innards, so maybe Candi might like to try something homemade?

Ella cannot be bothered with toys as far as she is concerned she has me, Petee would love a keybord to dismantle. the keys make good head scratchers, Florrie,Kruger and Magic all prefer to chew up cardboard boxes, Charli likes to play with a bell or chew wood blocks. Asbo will like anything that he can hang upside down from and make a noise. My birds favourite thing to play with , a rope with toilet roll centres and untreated pine blocks, pine cones and the occasional walnut shells to have a gnaw at. |

Emma doesnt play with toys too much, all I would say though is keep trying lots of differeny types, foot toys as well as Emma up until recently like I say never bothered. But I came home the other night from work and she'd been playing with the foot toys! Chewed up a couple of pine blocks too which I was dead pleased about! So keep trying, Im sure there will be something somewhere they will like |

I have a timney and three greys who are very suspicious of new toys, and will not go near them for weeks. My macaw and patagonian will investigate anything new quite happily. One of my greys has only one toy in his cage that he has had for years, and I tried to put new ones in after leaving them near his cage for a couple of weeks, however we had to take them back out as he sat huddled in the corner growling at them and wouldnt move to eat or drink. He will accept kichen roll cardboard, toilet roll tubes, and loves shredding newspaper. I find the greys to be much more nervous than most when it comes to any changes at all. |

Ruby our CAG doesn't like anything new, & do not under any circumstances change the ornaments round over the fireplace. Put them the wrong way round once and Ruby wouldn't come out of his cage. It's got something to do with being in the wild and anything new could be a predater.

Charlie CAG has his cage in front of a bookcase. He was terrified of it and refused to settle, so we covered it. We now have a permanent pink blanket on the bookcase in there - as anyone who has visited will have noticed |

Norm's cage is in the far corner of our conservatory. When we first had him, we blanked out the window behind his cage with woodchip . He has slowly removed it himself, so we assume he didn't like it much..... he's fine now being surrounded by glass, though he does duck when a seagull passes close to him. |
