It never gets easier We lost one of our own last year and it hurts so much, they're just always there

Just waiting on the PM results from Shell right now, didnt sleep very well at all as we're both so worried if we did something wrong.

Before we put him in the freezer, we let Izzy say goodbye to his friend. For the first time he came and sat on the chair arm, looked at Billy for a while, then reached forwards and kissed him just under the eye, said "night night, kiss kiss" again then went away. That had us both bawling!

Izzy is doing okay, he's got company and he's looking to us more for comfort now. I feel so sorry for him

Other birds feel it too don't they?.....our Budgie Tinsy wasn't himself for over a month after our Blue fronted Amazon Charlie died in June...he was so quiet and not himself...he had never known the house without Charlie, since we've had Spencer in the last 2 weeks almost he's been a different budgie...like his old self...Hope Izzy feels better soon and we know you'll do the best yo comfort him...

I fully agree. One of my Budgies grieved a lot after his best friend died (a Tiel) He lived another 5 years after that, but he just wasnt himself. They're such intelligent creatures

Awww hun, it's natural to feel guilty, I know I did when I lost my parrotlets, I kept going over and over thinking could I have noticed something sooner - Its par for the course when you care like we do.  Big hugs hun xx
