Hi To All

My name is Tracey and myself and Mel have taken on rehoming.

We are very sorry that there has been some problems with rehoming. To those people who have been waiting what seems a life time we are very sorry.

We have a large amount of old and new application and it will take us some time to sort though them all.
We would ask anyone that made an application a long time ago, to give us 2 weeks to catch up on the back log.  If you have not been contacted within that 2 weeks either by email or phone please re-apply for your chosen bird, as you maybe one of the unfortunate ones who have been lost in cyber space. ( I wonder if cyber space is were all the odd socks go?)

I would please ask everyone to remember that rehoming can be a very time consuming process as we want to make sure that every bird is matched to the right home. I do understand that a week is a very long time when waiting for a new arrival, but in the rehoming world it is very short.

Regards Mel and Tracey

As the rehoming team you have such a very important job.  It must be so time consuming to go through all the applications, do the research, make the decisions and then follow all this up with phone calls or emails to all applicants - some of which I am sure will be difficult discussions.  I have the utmost respect for those of you who are prepared to take this on.  I know I would be useless.   Thank you on behalf of the birds!

well done to you and Mel for taking on what must be a mammoth task!

I joined BL on 22 Sept and applied (twice) to re-home "one" of the birds, only realised yesterday that my application may have dissappearedinto the ether, so re-sent it for the 3rd time last night. I had an email back almost immediately to say it had been received, so think I am at least one step nearer this time!

My ACO did email me about 3 weeks ago to say she would arrange to visit me ASAP, but have not heard anything since - and don't want to hassle the poor woman as I know she must be really busy and appreciate everyone is a volunteer.

but I am seriously pining for the sound of pattering feet and the fluttering of wings with maybe the odd squark thrown in for good measure! lol

Have my bird first aid kit prepared, have bird proofed the consevatory, have scrubbed and cleaned everything in sight, have thrown out all my air freshners, am learning how to make my own parrot toys and am studying the B Lrules - so ready whenever you are! lol
