Hello

Firstly,I`d like to say a huge thankyou to the lovely lady I spoke to on the helpline number today regarding the unwanted Citron that had been handed in to my shop.I`m so sorry I never asked your name, but if you are reading this you`ll know who you are !!!....Thankyou again! your advice was so valuable

Well,my name is Andrew and I own a pet shop in Staffordshire with my partner...we also import cages from China and are sellers on Ebay and Amazon.

WE DONT SELL PARROTS IN OUR SHOP!!!!!!!

We have a lovely B&G called Cleo ,and a lunatic CAG who delights our customers with her silliness and antics.I`ve decided to join Birdline as one of the area members asked us if we would display a poster in our shop window.A couple of days ago we were asked to take a Citron Too who was unwanted...this bird is likely to stay with us(we are soft touches) as long as we can cope with him....otherwise Birdline will be asked to intervene!

Anyway, hope to sit and browse through the forum, and maybe make a few friends

Andrew

Hi Andrew and welcome!!

I only popped on yesterday to say Hi to everyone and have been addicted to looking on the site all day

One of the things i have found since join is everyone is very friendly, so i'm sure you will pick up some new friends here.

Hi Andrew, welcome to the forum

As you've heard, we're a really friendly bunch and a bit crazy too. I hope you and your new fid (feathered kid) settle in well together, but, as you say, BL will help if there are any problems. We love pictures of people's fids and would love to meet your B&G, CAG and Citron (in picture.)

Oh, and if you really are a soft touch, the cheeky bit inside me thinks that we should ask, have you considered joining and then becoming a safehouse?

Hope to meet in chat sometime

Thanks for the warm welcomes everybody !
Thanks Shell, tell Dawn she is so approachable and easy to talk with...I just felt so rude afterwards for not knowing her name**blushes**

Helen W...lol,I`ve tried to join tonight, but shall be doing it in the shops name...problem is all my card and paypal details are there,so will complete the forms tomorrow and join...and yes,I`m sure I can offer a safe house ....lets face it,I only have 1 B&G,1 Citron,1 CAG,Great Dane,2 Whippets,1 Mini Smooth Dachshund,3 Chihuahuas,17 Mini Lops,3 Aquariums,an avairy,a pond.....loadsa room.....always squeeze a little one in(maybe a budgie !!!! LOL )

Just a thought, but if the ACO contacts me,we very often have damaged new cages that we dispose of(scrap merchant takes them away or we take them to the skip)...sure these could be put to better use,
Think it may be a mistake me joining Birdline (",)...can see myself surrounded by more birds

LOL @ LesleyG....shudders at the thought!!!....My big Dane Lad called Luger is such a chicken when it comes to birds.....he is scared of them if they  come too close. He very quietly and slowly removes himself from the room,lol.....give him a burgler on the otherhand and it would be "bodybag time"...best guard we have ever had!!!

PMSL Andrew - you could open up a petting zoo with that lot. And I'm sure your generous offer of damaged cages (we have some very resourceful members and a real shortage of BL cages) will come in very handy. Shell is the Area Manager for your area. Her e-mail is shellwidjaew@hotmail.co.uk She'll be ripping your hand off for any donations (gently, of course.)

Oh, and good luck with the budgie lol
