Does anyone know of a company that imports Italian Essegi cages? (It used to be Brunos). I am looking for at least one, possibly two, Essegi Ara cages. You can only buy direct from Essegi if you live in Italy.

Lorna, why not e-mail/PM Scarlett and see if she can get one?

I have been in touch with Scarlett, she can get Essegi cages, but hasn't heard of the Ara.  I'm using Giadas at the moment, but the Ara is bigger all round; 100cm wide, 77cm deep. They are 145cm high, and the tray is at the right height for me to manage from my wheelchair.

Emerson Pet Centre Online sell Essegi Giada and other Essegi cages, they used to sell Ferplast too which are very similar.  I've been looking at them for Charlie.

Thanks Sue. I already have two Giadas, the Aras are the same design, just bigger. They are perfect for me as although I use a wheelchair I can still reach the top of the cage, and the tray is at the right height for me to remove for cleaning without falling forward out of my chair. The Giada is 85cm x 55cm, the Ara 100cm x 77cm. As you say, the Ferplast is similar, although it has some horrid nooks and cranies that are difficult for me to reach for cleaning.

Essegi now sell direct from their website, but will only ship inside Italy.

Like the sound of the Ara myself Lorna, I could put Kai Lani CAG in one of those (I assume it's the same but bigger, I'll have a look at them) and Charlie Timneh could go in her cage (which is an Essegi but half sized). Clever Lorna, lets hope Essegi start exporting them soon.   Bigger but the same should upset nobody then

just a thought, have you tried an import/export company that will deal direct with Italy? You may find one local to you.

Don't know if this helps but CKW has advertised the Essegi ARA within the last three months at £264.99.  I found a list of Essegi cages I made quite recently.  Wonder if it's worth giving them a ring.  Can't find it online today though.
