Hi

New to the Forum and in the process of completing an outside aviary mainly for use in the Summer

Any advice on what Parrot species (apart from same) can.... or should be.... kept together

OR better still what you mustn't or should never keep together ?

Hopefully

Sorry

Just re-read the question and it wasn't very clear      I have two African Greys and a Male Ducorps

Hopefully soon to have a female Ducorps to join them as well

Ideally I would like to be able to put them all in the avaiary together?

Any advice gratefully accepted please

Do they get on........... Well the two greys do together and are in the same cage
The Ducorps is in a seperate cage in the same room and he is an aviary bird
Not had them all out together
If the Greys are out only the male takes an interest and thats only to sit on the Ducorps cage Theres no signs of aggression ?

Is that a good sign....................or not

I think it always varies and even the same species won`t necessarily all get on in an aviary anyway.
As Shell said, if it`s big enough and has places to get away from eachother then they should work fine.
Monitoring them is the best way and only you know your birds and can guess at what`s likely to happen, if it`s me, usually the opposite to what i think happens!!!

Hi i have quite a big play area and a few different species play out in the daytime i have 5 greys 5 amy's 7 senagals and a blue and gold macaw the greys b/g senny's and 3 of the amy's are out at the same time and don't bother with each other, but my other 2 ammy's have to be let out at different times,so all mine are out if its nice all day but the 2 ammy's get the morning and the other 3 get the afternoon, i am always here to supervise them if needed as you do get the odd squable. as has bean said as long as the have enogth room to get away from each other they should be fine but do monitore them.

Some of mine fight when they are inside but when they are all outside there is normally no problem!

i have 4 galah's 2 greys, 2 caiques and 3 citron's, but as Ericsmum says, the bigger the space the better!
