Please Note: Only Birdline Members have access to the Birdline Gallery - This is done to protect the privacy of our members.

Instructions for setting up a personal album in the Gallery

First go to the Birdline Members Gallery page.

If you so wish, you can now browse other members galleries. If you want to create your own gallery, you need to first click on the "Albums" button.

Now click on the "Add New" button.

Now give your album a title, for example "Franks Album". If you so wish, also add a description. Leave the rest of the fields as default and click "Update".

Once your album has been created, you can now start to add pictures. To add a picture, click on the "Add New" button.

Make sure that your Album is selected under "Album" otherwise your upload will fail. You can now add a title for the picture and a description if you so wish. Now click on the Browse button and locate the file you want to upload. (The file you upload can be an image file, or a ZIP file full of images.)

Remember to take care on the size of your photo. If for example you upload a photo that is very large in size, it will take longer to upload to our servers. A good rule is to keep them under 1Mb when possible. You will also find that with very large images, e.g those over 1mb, when viewing the Gallery it will take a long time for your photos to load.

If whilst uploading your picture, it hangs or gets an error, check your file size. If it's too big it will not upload.

Once you have complete the fields, click on "Save &  Exit".

Once you have uploaded your photo, you can go back and edit it if you need to by clicking on "My Work" then the small pencil icon next to the image.

Once you have uploaded your photo's, other users can then browse your Album. If you wish to add a link to your album in a post on a forum, go to the "Albumbs" button and copy/pase the Direct link. This will then link directly to that album.

Please remember that this is all new and it will take time to get used to. I am happy to answer any questions.
