I have a Golden Mantled Rubino Rossella and i have just noticed that one of her nostrils is blocked. Is there a reason why this has happend and what can i do to unblock it?

Many thanks in advance

It can sometimes be a vit A deficiency that can cause this. I have a grey here who has had surgery in the past due to this. Hers just looked as if it was skin growing over the nostril, which prevented her from breathing properly. Her nostril had to be drilled out.
If it looks solid and cant be wiped away, I would have it checked.

Could also be a build up of dust.  Grab a cotton bud, damp it down and see if you able to wipe it away. if you cant then you will need a vet to take a look at it x

Possibly a 'blackhead' type of thing, which can be removed, without anaesthetic (sp?) by the vet. Worth a visit to the vet anyway,

I agree with the above - but make sure it's an avian vet - whereabouts are you? We can check the recommended list for the nearest if you need it.
