Mt baby Stormy has a bald patch on her chest  I only noticed it tonight BUT all of mine are moulting like mad at the moment so Im really keeping my fingers crossed it's just a moult and not plucking.  She's 4 and a half years old now, nothing done any different to what I've always done and she shared a cage with a friend (another female), she has everything she needs. I really will be in bits if she has started plucking  If she is the only reason I can think of is hormonal, again lots of mine are going wild at the moment with hormones, and she is at the right age for it too. Oh I so hope it's just a moult. Sorry just needed to get that off my chest

I used a product from Rob Harvey (www.robharvey.com)called Avi Stress on George my SH cag,£6.95 for 100g which lasts quite a while. You can use it on birds that are under stress and / or plucking. I now use it on any of the birds that have any plucked areas no matter how small. I can't say it definately works as I have only just started using it but based on George something helped her and she has been on it since she came to me. See the thread I posted tonight to see the difference in her over 2 months. It may help?

Thanks both, I just keep hoping and praying I will seriously be so sad if she is starting to pluck. I always thought I offered here evertything I could  Both her and her cage mate have been chewing and shredding like mad as well Anne, they've got through a 12 inch piece of pine in the last week!

Laura, thanks hun, I have tried that in the past but found it is pretty much water and aloe, which is what I use at the moment with my birds every other day. Plus it's a lot cheaper lol And Im sure that this was one of the products that contained what we thought was an irritant, but I need to check that before I go spouting about that

Mandy,I have just looked at the tub of Avi stress I have and it contains multivitamins and Electrolytes. It is a vitamin and mineral supplement that you add to their water. It doesn't contain any aloe. May be this is a different product with a similar name? I do know Rob Harvey to speak to as his warehouse is very near me and I buy my food ect from him so I will check it out.
