Mine do this after getting too wet with the spray like they have water in their ears.

Joey does it all the time - I figured he just had itchy ears - the vet didn't seem particularly worried about it when I told him.

Norm does it more when he is tired. He also does the wing flicking when he is tired too.

Dusty does the wing flicking when she is tired, the head shaking is only when she is sprayed with water x

It's his head he flicks, a bit like he has a 'tic'....he is worrying me sick at the mo with this plucking and head flicking, was going to take him to vets but then got scared off by others saying they would only give antiboitics which would do more harm than good. He is becoming withdrawn......I am wondering if he is a bit over shadowed by all the other birds.....Shaz wonders if he is missing beckham. Just not sure what to do for the best...just want him to be happy!! I have started to bring him into the living room alone with us for some 'quality time'  to see if this helps, he was an only bird before and maybe he misses this time alone with his humans?

All I know is that I never worried this much about my kids!!!!
