She's a real stunner, you must be so proud of her. To have a sweet nature as well is great.

yes, I am really lucky, she is such a sweet natured girl....well so far she is!!! lol She scared me to death when she first came lunging at the bars looking like she wanted to kill me but once I realised it was because she was scared not aggressive we got on great, my confidence with her grew and hers grew with me too.

What a real privilege it is to be able to share your life/home with such magnificent creatures !!

Well I didn't intend getting a macaw...it just happened! I bought a cage off a lady who sells on the internet and we got on really well, she used to breed but then found out she was getting more back than going out so now does her own small version of rescue (many Toos...she LOVES them) So one day she emailed me to say 'I don't suppose you would like a macaw?' I said welll....er ...yes BUT..... never had one and no experience of them. So we agreed that I would take her for 3 months to she how we both got on......the 3 months is well and truly up now and I wouldn't be without her....

My neighbour (opposite) always pops round in the autumn with bags of plums from his allotment, for my budgie, he says! My budgie is bigger than yours Lesley, a GW macaw.
