| Charlie the Senegal - 1908
Hi, my name is Charlie and I'm a beautiful 4 year old Senegal.
My safehouse mum says I am no trouble at all, I am very affectionate and love nothing better than a good tickle! I like my food and will try anything but I do love to tip my food bowl up. I am a little cage territorial and will growl and then try to nip you if you try to change my food but saying that I will let anyone tickle me through the bars. I am a little bird with a big attitude! I can sometimes be a bit nippy, especially if I'm not getting my own way or if I feel I haven't been out of my cage long enough. I can be a bit of a bully with other birds, no size frightens me, the bigger the better! I don't have any vocab, just a few whistles but boy, if you ignore me I'll soon let you know! Now here's the important bit - I love my safehouse mum, tolerate the little boy but HATE my safehouse dad!! I don't think its a man thing in general I just seem to get jealous of the man of the house! When I see him I will go out of my way to get to him and bite him! You have been warned! I absolutely love to be out of my cage, having a good nose around and chewing anything wooden, and so I would love to go to a forever home where it would be my forever mum and me - bliss!! I really am a lovely bird and providing those nasty husband/partner things aren't around I'm a big softy!
I am currently living in South Wales, I do not have my own cage. |
| Boswell the Jardine Parrot - 2166
Hi There,
My name is Boswell and I am a lovely 13 year old Jardine Parrot. I am a feisty and charming chap who prefers the company of men. I am fully flighted and I do enjoy going to little flights around the lounge. I am friendly towards other birds and have even made friends with an Alexandrine. We like to preen each other and just hang out. I am not cage territorial and once covered at bed time I will quickly settle down. When it comes to food, I love monkey nuts, but have been told they are bad for me, so best not give me much of that then. I do however like semi-cracked walnuts. I'm not a big fan of fruit and veg, but my safe house mummy keeps giving it to me in the hopes that I will start to enjoy them.. I'm not so sure, but I guess you'll need to keep trying. I not really a great talker, but I do say the occasional 'hello' and 'what are you looking at'. Maybe once I have settled in I will speak some more.
I am currently living in Croydon, South London and I do have my own cage, although it could really do with replacing soon!
NOTE: This bird is in the later stages of the foster process and as such may be removed very shortly. |
| Ozzy the Amazon - 1906
Hi, My name is Ozzy and I am an Amazon.
My safe house mummy thinks I am female, and I'm not telling! I do prefer men though, so maybe that's a hint. I generally ignore other pets like cats, dogs and other birds, but I do like being handled by my chosen male friend. Although I am friendly to men, I really don't like women and can be aggressive toward them. Ideally I would like to live in a male only household and with someone home all day that I can interact with. I am generally a good girl, and I prefer a busy household. I can be a but noisy, especially in the mornings. I am not afraid of much (well, except towels, I hates them) and I can be a bit destructive, especially towards wooden furniture. I am currently fully flighted and I do speak a little. I do enjoy being sprayed with warm water occasionally.. gotta keep looking good!
I am currently living in West Sussex. |
| Jimbo the Yellow Fronted Amazon
Hi everyone my name is Jimbo and I am approx 25 yrs old.
I am a beautiful little bird and I am very friendly but I need a lot of love and interaction, I dont nip or bite but I will use my beak to warn you off if I dont want to step up. I am brave enough to venture out of my cage and I will climb on to someones arm once I get too know them. My feathers are a little tatty so please accept me the way that I am until they grow back. I love all this new food I am fed like the fruit, mash potato, chicken and anything that makes chirp, I have not had a very good diet because my previous mum fed me on nothing but Sunflower Seeds, I will not sing for my supper, but I make plenty of whistles and warbles as I enjoy it so much. I prefer men over women, but whats to say that I wont be happy in a house with a lady. I dont ignore other birds so, if I am around them, I do get near and I will sing to them to make friends. I have been with my safe-house mum and dad for a little while, I like to be handled and will sit on your shoulder a lot. I love to be sprayed and will bath in a drinking water bowl. I like to chew wooden things for fun too. Is there a kind loving person out there willing to give me a home?
I am currently living in Yeovil, Somerset and I dont have my own cage |
| Noddy the Nanday Conure - 697
Hi, my names Noddy and I’m a Nanday Conure.
I will step onto your arm and walk up to your shoulder where I will let you give me lots of fuss! I absolutely love millet and will expect you to keep me supplied! I also enjoy toast or crumpets of a morning and fruit but I’m not keen on vegetables. My other love is bathtime!! I will happily splash away at the bottom of my cage in water for as long as you will let me – well I have to look my best for you don’t I? I love to dance away on my perch and will happily spend my spare time destroying boxes in my cage. I don't have any preference over men or women, but prefer to hang out with men when possible. I don't really get on with children, they make me nervous and I can nip them when frightened. I have no problem with other birds, I generally ignore them. I also ignore those other things.. erm.. dogs. I am not really at that noisy unless I want something, like fooood.
I come with my own cage and stand and lots of toys. I’m in the Walsall area of the West Midlands.

| Parky the Timneh Grey - 706
Hello I am a Timneh Grey & am 17 Years old.
My name is Parky & I am a fussy eater, at the moment I really like walnuts in the shell.... safe house mum is still trying to find out what foods I prefer. I do like toast & pasta & fish fingers though :) I'm learning to step up and will do off the cage but I feel very safe near/on my cage as I get flustered being away from it. I love to sit on top of my cage and tear up magazines and especially big thick juicy catalogues. I dont pluck my feathers out but I do like to "snip" them (it gives me that rugg-ed look) and I love to meow like a cat and say "hiya"! Safe house mum really thinks I need to go somewhere and be with someone that has a lot of experience with Timneh's. I am quite friendly with my safehouse mum.. I need to understand who's boss. I like my head tickled. Mums found out that I dont like men. But safe house dad is slowly getting there. When I GET TO KNOW the ladies of the house (especially my main carer) I'm a very trusting friend and won't bite....you can even lift my wings to have a close look. My wings will need to be clipped because I have been known to threaten other birds but I haven't been nasty at my safe house or towards my safe house pals. I go to bed when told to do so & would love to go to someone who can continue the hard work & effort my safe house mum has put in whilst looking after me.
I am currently staying in Wolverhampton & have my own cage with a special name plaque attached :D |
| Hahns Macaw - 2155
Hello……I am a Hahns Macaw, little on size but BIG on attitude!!
My elderly owner was taken poorly and was unable to say what my name is or give any information about me. So my safe house Mum said my new family will give me a new name…..cool! I can talk a little, I say 'Hello', 'goodbye' and when you uncover me in the morning. I say 'Good morning' to you. I eat anything you give me and especially love grapes cut into tiny bits. I am a good looking little bird and in super condition too. I really need someone to work with me and show me what it's like to be part of the family. I love human interaction and attention, I especially like being spoon fed by Mum. I am quite fussy about the other birds jumping on my cage……I chase off the big Macaw when she climbs on the top but then can you blame me? I will nip her toes if she is too slow…lol. I am not wing clipped and have not been out of my cage for quite some while I think. I need a nice person male or female I don't mind either to help me become the bird I should be. Am I the bird for you?????
I am currently living near the Cambridgeshire/Norfolk border. I am afraid I do not have my own cage. |
| Oliver the African Grey - 1293
Hello......I'm Oliver aka Ollie & I am an African Grey.
I talk well with a northern accent....which my black-country family find very amusing. You'll have to be careful what you say around me as I'm a very fast learner and have been known to repeat many words. I'm a little territorial of my cage and am a very nervous bird with a slightly plucked tummy but I do have much more downing now compared to when I first arrived at my safe house. Ideally I'd prefer to live with a mature family and if possible to spend a lot of time in male company. I'm fine being around ladies but I feel a lot happier and more confident around men. If something scares me I will fly off in a panic & unfortunately I may crash land into things (safe house mums ornament) oops! I call all men that I meet "John" haha! I'm ok with my safe house mum when I'm out of my cage but I won't let her put her hands inside the cage to get me to step up... When I'm out I'll happily step up & will let you fuss me if I'm in the mood for a head scratch. Mum says I'm a very good eater & will eat many things. If I don't like something I'll just throw it out. My favourite meal is Egg, Rice & Veg :D oh and roast spuds. I would prefer to go to a very patient & understanding new mum and/or dad. A nice quiet life where I can spend time with any friends that wouldn't mind being called "john" & let me sit on his shoulder & talk to me. I love to pose for the camera too.
I have my own cage & am staying in Wolverhampton.
NOTE: This bird is in the later stages of the foster process and as such may be removed very shortly. |
| Crystal the African Grey - 835 & Florrie the Timneh Grey - 1044
Hi everyone! We are two beautiful Greys. Florrie here is a Timneh Grey and I, Crystal, a Congo African Grey.
We love each other very much and absolutely must be kept together. We both like all kinds of food and don’t really turn up our beaks at anything! We like to be out of our cage as much as possible and will happily sit on top and watch the world go by, although we sometimes like to explore and you’ll have to keep your eyes on us as we like to get up to mischief! We are generally quiet birds but will keep you entertained with our whistling. It is important that you handle us regularly so we maintain that human contact and not always each other. Shredding paper and destroying boxes is our love – we will do this every day if you let us. All we ask is you give us lots of different sizes and clean up after us!
We are in the Walsall area of the West Midlands. Unfortunately we don’t come with a cage. |
| Stevie the Senegal - 1266
Hello my name is Stevie and i am a gorgeous 20 year old senegal.
I am looking for a quiet home more suitable for an old girl like me at my time of life. I like to come out and play around and I will sit in my cage or on a stand and twitter away to myself quite happily. I will step up onto a towel covered hand but can be a bit nippy, I do prefere men but I will go to women. My current safe house doesn't have any children so I have no idea if I like them or not. I like having baths in a bowl, and also enjoy being sprayed. It may take a while for me to get to know you but a yummy meal will help you on your way. I love toast, fruit and veg, and will generally eat most foods. Could you be my forever home mummy or daddy?
I am currently living in Birmingham and I do have my own cage.

| Woody the Mealy Amazon - 203
Hello there. My name is Woody and I am a Mealy Amazon.
I am a friendly chap and I love to get lots of attention. I do prefer the company of men, but I will go to women when needed. I also get along fine with children. I don't really pay attention to other birds, I just tolerate them and I really don't like dogs. When your nice and patient with me, I will step and and enjoy a tickle but it's on my terms. I will nip occasionally when you make me do something I don't want to do. I'm afraid being an Amazon, I can be noisy at times. I don't mind having baths, and do enjoy a spray every other day. | Poppy the Red Fronted Conure - 1340
Hi there, my name is Poppy and I am a Red Fronted Conure.
I can be a very vocal little madam at times, but I am a conure after all. I'm a little plucked around my neck but im still pretty as you can see. I love my toast or crumpets in a morning, and just love my grapes and apple. I like corn on the cob too, but I will try other things. I am a daddies girl and would love to have a daddy as long as no one else in the house minds, as when I love my new daddy I won't want anyone else to touch me. I'm fine around other birds as long as they stay on their cage, and cats and dogs dont bother me either. If your out there daddy hurry and come for me and I will be the most loving little girl.
I am currently living in Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland. I don't have my own cage, but I have got some toy my safe house mummy bought me! |
| Humphrey & Harriet the Yellow Fronted Amazons - 559
Hi everyone we are best friends Humphrey and Harriet!
We are Yellow Fronted Amazons and are 4 years old. Harriet is the friendliest of us and is more outgoing and forward. We prefer females to males because Harriet charges and hisses at men sometimes! She's very protective but we don't mind children. We've had no interaction with other birds but we aren't bothered by the noisy ones in our safe house home as we just like to be left to talk to each other. We are fine with cats and dogs as they don't bother us at all. Stepping up is no issue but we don't like to be fussed much and don't approach anyone for attention etc. Safe house mum says we are easy to look after because we just love each others company... we are not fully tame because we prefer not to be handled but we are not wild vicious birds. If someone comes to say hello at our cage we will sometimes chat to them back and we have never bitten anyone. We have been known to be noisy and have a good sing to each other but we haven't caused any headaches. We currently live in a busy household but it does not bother us... we get up around 7am and have our toast then snacks throughout the day. We are not fussy eaters at all. Our toys and a nice bath keep us happy and its lovely to be covered up after a fun day to get our rest on our favourite perch.
We don't have our own cage but we only need 1 as we stay together like best friends should. Currently we are in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. |
| Sophie the Blue Fronted Amazon - 1548
Hello everyone my name is Sophie and I am a beautiful Blue Fronted Amazon.
I like to be around ladies and can sometimes be a little wary of children. If they don't bother me i'm happy but can get scared if I get pestered by little ones. I have no problem with other birds and pets and love being talked to. I am a tame bird that will shout MOM very loudly until i get the attention I want, hahahaha!! I am very noisy. I can step up but sometimes would just rather walk around in and on top of my cage. I love a fuss and lots of attention and i'm not aggressive but I love pretty rings so if you love them too, don't wear them around me or ill try stealing them, hehe! All i really need is for mom to be home most of the day so I can get lots of attention and be talked to lots. I can fly because my clipped feathers are growing back and i chat away to my hearts content! If you adore beautiful, happy, chatty feathered friends like me then you'll have so much fun being around me.
I don't have my own cage and am in Wolverhampton , West Midlands. |
| Jasper the Ringneck
Hello everyone!!
My name is Jasper & I am a ringneck Parakeet, I am a very pretty boy! I don't mind people talking and singing to me, but i don't really like a fuss or tickle. Some of my favourite snacks are banana, grapes, cooked carrots & I have a rich tea biscuit daily, thank you very much. I love to sing and fancy myself as the next Chris De Burgh, " LAAAAAAADDDDDDDYYYYYYYYYY INNNNNNNNN REDDDDDDD" I also like to chat away but sometimes I forget myself & may swear, oops!! Please be kind enough to let me have a bath daily ( I have my own bath that my safe house mummy treated me to) I can't step up yet but I'd love to learn how as I really like being out of my cage.
I am currently living in Wolverhampton & I have my own cage. |
| Tony the Red Masked Conure - 1411
Hi, my name is Tony and I am a Red Masked Conure.
I haven't had a very good life and need to be in a home with owners that are experienced and patient. I don't like other birds as I am aggressive and territorial of my cage. With dedication, love and hardwork maybe I can change and learn to trust people again. I'm heavily plucked and wary of everybody and everything. I will take food from my safe house moms hand but i dont like hands in or on my cage. I've got my own cage but will need a larger one as it isnt very roomy.
I am currently staying in Wolverhampton, West Midlands.

| Jamie the Ring Neck (Blue) - 1569
My name is Jamie and I am a Ringed-neck Parakeet...a lovely blue colour!
I don't like anyone trying to touch my cage whilst I'm in it though. It's MINE :D and I might nip you or other pets if you come too near or try to change my bowls etc when I'm guarding my favourite toys ( my chimes!!) I don't mind men or women, but I don't like lots of fuss....I may nip you.....sorry. I have my cage covered at night and I like to spend lots of time out of it exploring my safe house home! I sing & whistle & will witter away to you if you pop by to say hello.... have I mentioned that I can be aggressive whilst I'm in my cage, but I'm good when I'm allowed out. I can't step up...so you will have to teach me. Mum said I'm not at all fussy about food, and I'll try anything :)
I have my own cage & am currently staying in Wolverhampton, West Mids |
| Ozzie the Ring Neck
Hi I’m Ozzie a Ringneck with lots of attitude.
I don’t like other birds and will attack them on site. I don’t like you humans much either but I know I need you to feed me so I’ll tolerate you (sometimes) I like little people because they are at a perfect height for me to bite. Tee-hee. I am not tame at all and I LOVE biting. My safe house says my bites aren’t sore but I’m trying my hardest! I just want someone who is happy to look but not touch. I am a really good eater and I enjoy healthy things like fruit and veg. I don’t care much about cats or dogs as long as they don’t come too close. I really like being out of my cage but I NEVER want to go back in. Why would I when there are so many things to chew? curtains are my favourite just now.
I don’t have a cage but I do have some nice toys that Santa Claws brought me. I’m living in Central Scotland. Are you up to the challenge? |
| Pieces the African Grey - 1460
Hi there, My name is Pieces (pieces of eight), I am a 10yr old Congo African Grey.
I have been a little silly in the past and plucked some of my lovely feathers on my neck and chest, but guess what there starting to grow back again on neck now. I'm not a noisy girl but I can talk lots and my favorite words are "baa baa black sheep have you any wool"...."pieces cottle is no good, chop her up for firewood". I also have lots more I say... would you like to hear them? I eat well but can be a fussy girl with my fruit and veg and my safehouse mummy keeps trying with different things. I love my grapes and apple, my favorite time of the day is morning, that's when I get my piece of buttered toast, I just love it and I wont settle till my safehouse mum gets me some. I am really looking for a daddy to love me, I don't mind ladies and will take food out your hand as long as you leave me alone. Them little people called children are OK too, but I only want to sit on dads shoulder. I will step up to my dad but rather your arm as I am not sure of hands. I would rather just fly to you or step on your shoulder. I'm OK with other birds and animals as long as they leave me alone. You will have to watch me as I'm a sneaky girl, when my safehouse daddy leaves the room I fly to follow him, so make sure theres no doors open for me to get out and get lost....Is my daddy out there?, I'll be 11yrs old on July 2nd, it would be nice if I could spend my birthday with my forever dad so you can spoil me.
Sorry I don't have my own cage, but I have a brass bell I've had from a baby I hope you will put that in my new cage with some other toys. I am currently living in Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland. |
| Foxy the African Grey - 2157
Hi everyone my name is Foxy (my safehouse mummy & daddy call me Foxy Lady, hehe) I am a very beautiful Congo African Gray with a fantastic attitude.
I am 25/30 years old but I act more like a teenager (but not with the attitude LOL) I love to come out of my cage and sit on top or either play with my toys on the floor. When I want to relax I sit on the back of the sofa & watch the world go by. I love to watch the tv & listen to music which I sometimes dance to. I don't mind those hairy 4 legged creatures you call doggies, I find them very inquisitive. I don't know about kittys as I have never come across them. I have never been out of my cage when my safehouse mummy & daddy's other birdies are out as they have never had another friend for me to play with. I am quite a good eater and I love my mash potatoes, veg, pasta, but I am not big on fruit. I love grapes but APPLES are my favourite, big chunks Yum Yum. I don't like meat. I would love to have a forever home where there are no little children that can put their fingers in my cage as I would not like to hurt them. Also I would love a forever home where it is calm but fun and where I can be spoilt and if my new mummy and daddy went out they would leave the television or the radio on for me. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE is there a loving mummy & daddy out there to give me alot of attention & buy me a new cage Thank you xxx.
I currently reside in Kent....but sorry I don't have my own cage.
NOTE: This bird is in the later stages of the foster process and as such may be removed very shortly. |
| Travis the Hahns Macaw
Hiya,
I'm Travis and I'm a Hahn's Macaw. I am a cool dude and nothing scares me. I had a bad start in life but I won't bore you with my sob story. I'll tell you a bit about me and what I want then we'll take it from there. I think I'm four or five but I've never been good with birthdays! I love men and women equally. I'm not sure about children though, big ones are ok but those little ones steal all my thunder. I'm happy to play by myself so you can go out and earn money for my upkeep. Other birds kinda get on my nerves so the fewer the better as far as I'm concerned. If I don't like them I will bite them, size doesn't bother me I dislike them all equally. I'm quite the little velcro bird and will happily hitch a ride on your shoulder and cuddle in. I'm good at flying to land on you but i'm not so great at getting off! I have met dogs and I don't like them invading my space. I like to chat to them when I'm in my cage, they are so dumb they believe every word I say! I love music and we even have discos at my safe-house. I was born in Scotland and I've lived here all my life so I speak with a very broad accent that you may find hard to understand.
I'm in central Scotland. I have borrowed a cage and toys and I've also got myself a passport so i'm ready to go. |
| Thomas the Nanday Conure - 1065
Hello, my name is Thomas and I am a beautiful, 6 year old, male Nanday Conure.
I'm not a very loud bird, but I do rather like the sound of my own voice. I can't talk but I can make some very nice noises when I'm having a scratch from my safe house daddy. I must confess, I love food I am willing to try almost anything (even greens), but if aloud I will sit and scoff all day. Sadly, I reaslise that I may have to have a limit to the amount of food I'm given. As for other animals, I used to live with lots of other birdies and a few dogs and cats, although I dislike the furry thing that sniffs around the bottom of my cage. As for the humans, it took me a while to settle in, but I did take to my safe house daddy very quickly and I do love cuddles.
I am currently living in Stockport but I don't have my own cage. |
| Olly the Patagonian Conure - 1175
Hello there my name is Olly. I am a really good looking Patagonian Conure.
Ii am a very colourful bird also I am lively & friendly. I am 16 years old and looking for a forever home which would idealy be medium to busy but not with young children as I prefer older children as I could give a nasty nip as can all birds. I do protect my cage verbally if any body comes near. When my safehouse daddy or mummy lets me out of my cage I will only climb out of the bottom (when the tray is taken out). I am ok with dogs but I dont know about cats as my safehouse daddy & mummy have not got any. I like some fruit like apples grapes oranges & banana and what I like in the veg department is sweetcorn & carrot. I love all types of potatoes but mash is my favourite. Is there a forever daddy & mummy out there to give me lots of love and attention and also carry on the good work my safehouse daddy & mummy have been doing PLEASE. Hope to see you very soon.
I am currently living in Canterbury, Kent and I do come with my own cage. |
| Beetle the Orange Wing Amazon - 1419
Hello I'm Beetle a young Orange Winged Amazon.
I have came to my safehouse not knowing what it was like to be out of my cage. My favourite toy was a mirror, but now I now play with a rope toy that a can really rag at, a hanging thing that shreds up when I chew on it, but my all time favourite thing to do is to hang from the top of my cage with just my beak and swiiiinnng. Since being here I have sort of made friends with the other birds around me, I think they are older than me so don't want to play swing upside down with me. I am getting good at flying now too, landing is a bit messy. Oh yes I'm not sure about stepping onto your hand unless I'm on the floor, but I will now step onto a stick when asked well nearly everytime hehe. I like to eat nuts, can you shell them first please, fruit, cooked foods, seeds. So can you find a place in your heart for a young one wanting to learn new things.
I'm currently living in Stafford, I'm sorry I don't have my own cage |
| Peebee the Lineolated Parakeet - 1452
Hello my name is Peebee and I am a Lineolated Parakett.
I am a lovely blue colour and about the size of a Budgie. I am 18-24 months old. My safe house mammy says I am so pretty and when I am looking in my mirror I must agree with her. I hardly make any noise, just sweet little chirpy noises. I am a very busy little bird playing with my toys, and love to come out of my cage for a fly about, then I will land back on my cage when I am hungry. I do not like hands but maybe in time you could improve this. I love you talking to me and like to watch what is going on. I do not mind children or any other pets. Other birds are not a problem either I just ignore them as I live in the same room at the moment with 2 big white birds with funny yellow bits on there head, my mammy says they are Cockatoos. I would like a new mammy and daddy as I am a good girl.
I am currently living in Cumbria and come with a beautiful cage and toys etc. |
| George & Bobo the African Greys - 1454
Hello our names are George and Bobo and we are Congo African Greys.
I'm George, 16 years old and I'm rather handsome! I love to be out of my cage but will go back in when I have to. I am very friendly and I walk around the floor before deciding who I want to sit with to watch TV. I like everyone. My lifelong friend Bobo is only 6yrs and is a bit more reserved at the moment so perhaps when he and I move to our forever home Bobo will feel more sociable like me. We don’t do any of that yelling stuff, we are happy to be up and awake when the family are. We are good eaters but not too keen on vegetables however we like some fruit especially apple and pear. Both of us love a bit of chicken in fact we like anything in the meat line. I like to wait until my safehouse mum has cleaned my cage to decide it is bath time and boy what a mess I make trying to squeeze into my water dish. Bobo likes being sprayed with warm water. Sometimes I like to shred the clean newspaper at the bottom of my cage. Bobo is much neater with his pad and is happy just to sit either on top of his cage or inside and just watch the world go by. He likes his cage to be in the corner whereas I like to be on show. I make lots of lovely different sounds with the occasional word. Bobo saves it up until the evening time when he says all sorts of things. Oh by the way we don’t swear. Our safehouse mum says it has been a pleasure to look after us.
We have our own cages but they really need to be replaced soon. We are in Northumberland at the moment. |
| Merlin the Orange Wing Amazon - 1047
Helloooo, My name is Merlin and I am an Orange Winged Amazon. I am about 7 and a half years old.
I really like male company and am easy going and friendly to any men. I won't hurt women but if they get too close I may growl but most times back away. I can be noisy sometimes and need someone at home to give me lots of attention and interaction because I enjoy being out of my cage (ideally a man). I don't like to fussed by women and do give warnings when i'm not happy with female attention. All foods are lovely and I'm not a fussy eater at all. I snack on fruit and veg during the day and love an evening meal. I'm no trouble at all to care for but I would like a special man in my life. I'm not sure how I would get on with other birds. I spend most of my day playing on top of my cage.
I am currently in Walsall, West Mids. |
| Silver & Willow the Cockatiels
Hi everyone we are Silver (grey) and Willow (lutino). We are just a year old, and we have lived together since we were born, so we must stay together.
We are not an over-friendly pair as we are so young, but we will learn to be more forthcoming with age. We dont need a lot of and interaction, as we have each other for company. We dont nip or bite but we will use our beaks to warn you off if we dont want to step up. We are brave enough to venture out of our cage as we like to stretch our wings and fly around the room. We love fruit, but we mainly eat seed. We get on with men, women and children, but we have not been around other birds so we dont know how we will react around them. We have been with our safe-house mum and dad for a couple of weeks now, but we are still a little shy. Is there a kind, loving person out there willing to give us a home?
We are currently living in Bridgwater, Somerset and we dont have our own cage. |
| Soukey the Cockatiel
Hello, my name is Soukey and I am a grey Cockatiel.
I love to play with my toys, sing to my toys and I am very amorous with my toys. I love to try new food. I'm a very vocal young man when I'm happy and I will sing when I want a tickle but only on my terms. I'm OK with other birds and pets. I will step up on to your hand but not for very long as I will fly away back to my cage or anything I can perch on, so I need a new parent to spend some quality time with me to bring me on.
I am currently living in South Brent, Devon and I do come with my own cage. |
| Bella the Cockatiel
1Hello my name is Bella and i'm a Lutino Cockatiel.
I have plucked myself, but haven't recently and I have got new feathers growing. I love to sit with my safe house parents and watch TV, although with my new family it will take me a while to get use to them before I will let them step up on to their hand. I just need time and patience. I love to eat my cockatiel seed, millet and cuttlefish! I don’t mind either gender, children or other pets.
I am currently living in South Brent, Devon but I don't have my own cage. |
| Oscar the Cockatiel
Hello, my name is Oscar. I'm only a baby really, just 16 months old.
I am full of life and just LOVE to be out of my cage, stretching my wings. When I'm not flying around I like to be on someones shoulder, keeping an eye on whats happening. I don't know if I prefer men or ladies yet, it should be fun finding out. I'm very nippy at the moment, but I think thats because I'm not very settled yet. I'm told I can do that 'step-up' thing, but at the moment I don't want to, I find hands a bit scary. I make my current safehouse mum and dad laugh because I love to whistle 'Laurel & Hardy' and dance at the same time! The more they laugh, the more I do it! Please can someone out there give me a forever home? Like I said, I'm only a baby and have lots to learn and I'm sure I've got lots of love to give to.
I am currently living in Treorchy, South Wales and I have my own cage.

| Alfie the Timneh Grey - 2181
Hi there, my name is Alfie, as you can see I am a beautifull Tymneh grey.
So for all you lovely people out there here are a few things that you need to know about me. I am 15 years old and have a slightly plucked chest on one side. I have, in the past, plucked my tail feathers which makes them grow back a little strange. My wings are clipped but that was a long time ago and they haven’t grown back properly, so I tend to do a lemming if I am on your shoulder and you are moving around. My safe house mummy says this is not good as I can seriously hurt myself. I don’t step up on to hands but I will step on to your arm if it is covered up but I don’t grip very well. I can whistle a little and will ask “what you doing”, I do make cockatiel noises when I want something. I am ok with other birds too, even the big ones don’t scare me! With the right person I am very affectionate and will let them stroke me and I love my head scratched!!! I am not keen on that stuff you call veg and fruit but will try a little but not a lot. I love my toast in the morning! So if there is anyone out there that could give me, a small special bird, a home then I will love you dearly.
I am currently living in the west midlands and I do have my own cage. |
| Chico the Orange Wing Amazon
Hello, My name is Chico and I have been with my safehouse Daddy, Mummy and teenager for the last 6 months.
My Safehouse Daddy says I am a very pretty Orange Wing Amazon Parrot and don’t i know it! I love my Safehouse Daddy, and I like the male teenager, that woman is ok so long as she feeds me something otherwise? I pretend to jump at her……. never had to bite anyone yet! haha. I live with 2 giant macaws and a grey bird who looks like me but hasn't got MY colours. I love to have my head rubbed gently and even under my chin, once I have got to know you! I am very good, I do not bite, I will warn you, but if you are patient with me, I will let you stroke me on the head, I'm not too keen to have my belly rubbed, but my head? mmmmmmmmmmm! I love to be out of my cage as much as possible, I like to just sit and watch the world go by out of the window. When I am in my cage I will give you a very very loud song but I wont do it for more than 5 minutes. When I do sing, it gets all the others up as well for a song, that’s when my Safehouse Daddy takes his Dog friend for a walk, don't know why? my song is Beautiful!
I am currently living in Birmingham, and I do have my own cage. |
| Shrek the Ring Neck Parakeet - 1227
Hello!! My name is Shrek & I'm a Ring Neck.
I'm a very very friendly bird & love to be out of my cage as much as possible to run around and play with the human kids @ my safe house home. I also don't mind adults even though they're much bigger than me! I'm growing my feathers back on my chest & I have come on " leaps n bounds" my mum says?! I don't mind dogs, cats and/or other birds but I got a bit bullied by my other birdy friend so it's best I have my own cage to myself. I like all types of fresh fruit ( I like my apple to be very thinly sliced & I like biscuits as a treat) and veg but I'm not keen on peppers :D yuk! I am covered at night but I don't have my own cage, sorry :S
At the moment I am staying in Wolverhampton with a lovely family! |
