| Poppy the Red Fronted Conure - 1340
Hi there, my name is Poppy and I am a Red Fronted Conure.
I can be a very vocal little madam at times, but I am a conure after all. I'm a little plucked around my neck but im still pretty as you can see. I love my toast or crumpets in a morning, and just love my grapes and apple. I like corn on the cob too, but I will try other things. I am a daddies girl and would love to have a daddy as long as no one else in the house minds, as when I love my new daddy I won't want anyone else to touch me. I'm fine around other birds as long as they stay on their cage, and cats and dogs dont bother me either. If your out there daddy hurry and come for me and I will be the most loving little girl.
I am currently living in Scorton, Yorkshire. I don't have my own cage, but I have got some toy my safe house mummy bought me! |
| Jasper the Ringneck
Hello everyone!!
My name is Jasper & I am a ringneck Parakeet, I am a very pretty boy! I don't mind people talking and singing to me, but i don't really like a fuss or tickle. Some of my favourite snacks are banana, grapes, cooked carrots & I have a rich tea biscuit daily, thank you very much. I love to sing and fancy myself as the next Chris De Burgh, " LAAAAAAADDDDDDDYYYYYYYYYY INNNNNNNNN REDDDDDDD" I also like to chat away but sometimes I forget myself & may swear, oops!! Please be kind enough to let me have a bath daily ( I have my own bath that my safe house mummy treated me to) I can't step up yet but I'd love to learn how as I really like being out of my cage.
I am currently living in Wolverhampton & I have my own cage. |
| Jamie the Ring Neck (Blue) - 1569
My name is Jamie and I am a Ringed-neck Parakeet...a lovely blue colour!
I don't like anyone trying to touch my cage whilst I'm in it though. It's MINE :D and I might nip you or other pets if you come too near or try to change my bowls etc when I'm guarding my favourite toys ( my chimes!!) I don't mind men or women, but I don't like lots of fuss....I may nip you.....sorry. I have my cage covered at night and I like to spend lots of time out of it exploring my safe house home! I sing & whistle & will witter away to you if you pop by to say hello.... have I mentioned that I can be aggressive whilst I'm in my cage, but I'm good when I'm allowed out. I can't step up...so you will have to teach me. Mum said I'm not at all fussy about food, and I'll try anything :)
I have my own cage & am currently staying in Wolverhampton, West Mids |
| Ozzie the Ring Neck - 1453
Hi I’m Ozzie a Ringneck with lots of attitude.
I don’t like other birds and will attack them on site. I don’t like you humans much either but I know I need you to feed me so I’ll tolerate you (sometimes) I like little people because they are at a perfect height for me to bite. Tee-hee. I will accept the occasional cuddles, but I will have to get to know you first. I am a really good eater and I enjoy healthy things like fruit and veg. I don’t care much about cats or dogs as long as they don’t come too close. I really like being out of my cage but I NEVER want to go back in. Why would I when there are so many things to chew? curtains are my favourite just now.
I don’t have a cage but I do have some nice toys that Santa Claws brought me. I’m living in Central Scotland. Are you up to the challenge? |
| Merlin the Orange Wing Amazon - 1047
Helloooo, My name is Merlin and I am an Orange Winged Amazon. I am about 7 and a half years old.
I really like male company and am easy going and friendly to any men. I won't hurt women but if they get too close I may growl but most times back away. I can be noisy sometimes and need someone at home to give me lots of attention and interaction because I enjoy being out of my cage (ideally a man). I don't like to fussed by women and do give warnings when i'm not happy with female attention. All foods are lovely and I'm not a fussy eater at all. I snack on fruit and veg during the day and love an evening meal. I'm no trouble at all to care for but I would like a special man in my life. I'm not sure how I would get on with other birds. I spend most of my day playing on top of my cage.
I am currently in Staffordshire. |
| Soukey the Cockatiel
Hello, my name is Soukey and I am a grey Cockatiel.
I love to play with my toys, sing to my toys and I am very amorous with my toys. I love to try new food. I'm a very vocal young man when I'm happy and I will sing when I want a tickle but only on my terms. I'm OK with other birds and pets. I will step up on to your hand but not for very long as I will fly away back to my cage or anything I can perch on, so I need a new parent to spend some quality time with me to bring me on.
I am currently living in South Brent, Devon and I do come with my own cage. |
| Bella the Cockatiel
1Hello my name is Bella and i'm a Lutino Cockatiel.
I have plucked myself, but haven't recently and I have got new feathers growing. I love to sit with my safe house parents and watch TV, although with my new family it will take me a while to get use to them before I will let them step up on to their hand. I just need time and patience. I love to eat my cockatiel seed, millet and cuttlefish! I don’t mind either gender, children or other pets.
I am currently living in South Brent, Devon but I don't have my own cage. |
| Chico the Orange Wing Amazon
Hello, My name is Chico and I have been with my safehouse Daddy, Mummy and teenager for the last 6 months.
My Safehouse Daddy says I am a very pretty Orange Wing Amazon Parrot and don’t i know it! I love my Safehouse Daddy, and I like the male teenager, that woman is ok so long as she feeds me something otherwise? I pretend to jump at her……. never had to bite anyone yet! haha. I live with 2 giant macaws and a grey bird who looks like me but hasn't got MY colours. I love to have my head rubbed gently and even under my chin, once I have got to know you! I am very good, I do not bite, I will warn you, but if you are patient with me, I will let you stroke me on the head, I'm not too keen to have my belly rubbed, but my head? mmmmmmmmmmm! I love to be out of my cage as much as possible, I like to just sit and watch the world go by out of the window. When I am in my cage I will give you a very very loud song but I wont do it for more than 5 minutes. When I do sing, it gets all the others up as well for a song, that’s when my Safehouse Daddy takes his Dog friend for a walk, don't know why? my song is Beautiful!
I am currently living in Scotland, and I do have my own cage. |
| Shrek the Ring Neck Parakeet - 1227
Hello!! My name is Shrek & I'm a Ring Neck.
I'm a very very friendly bird & love to be out of my cage as much as possible to run around and play with the human kids @ my safe house home. I also don't mind adults even though they're much bigger than me! I'm growing my feathers back on my chest & I have come on " leaps n bounds" my mum says?! I don't mind dogs, cats and/or other birds but I got a bit bullied by my other birdy friend so it's best I have my own cage to myself. I like all types of fresh fruit ( I like my apple to be very thinly sliced & I like biscuits as a treat) and veg but I'm not keen on peppers :D yuk! I am covered at night but I don't have my own cage, sorry :S
At the moment I am staying in Wolverhampton with a lovely family! |
| Pickles the Ring Neck Parakeet - 1271
Hi There,
My name is Pickles and I am a lovely Ring Neck Parakeet. I am a very friendly little chap and I am happy to go to Men, Women and Children. I am most suited to a home family environment as I love getting loads of attention. I am a very lively bird, but not noisy at all. I am currently clipped and I am not really destructive. I can talk as well! I have several toys I love, including my Bell and my rope that I will happily play with to keep myself amused. I am no trouble at all and will make your household complete.
I am currently living in Carlisle, Cumbria. I do have my own cage, but it's a little small, so I could do with a new one! |
| Sunni the Sun Conure - 1769 & Charlie the Jenday Conure - 1738
Hi my name is Sunni and I'm a very pretty Sun Conure, and this is my friend Charlie who is a very pretty but very shy Jenday Conure.
I (Sunni) am the out going one. I like to sit on your shoulder and eat. We both love our safe house Daddy. I will step up (ha ha ) sometimes, but my friend Charlie wont. We both have a love of wallpaper and Charlie likes to run along the curtain rails rubbing his head on the coving, and we our a little cage territorial, so please no fingers through our cage bars. We like to be out of our cage as much as possible. We must never be separated as Charlie completely adores me, where I go, Charlie follows always. We love our fruit but not to keen on veg, and we do love our treats, rich tea, toast, anything, yum yum, but our fav has got to be pasta. We can be like all birds a little noisy at times and when you get visitors we will squawk till they come and say hello and we'll give a little head dance if we like them. Our only hate is of balloons we really don’t like them. We get covered at night and we promise you won’t hear a peep out of us until the morning. We can be a little nippy when we get excited or were tired, we need time to get to know you but our safehouse mum thinks we will make someone lovely companion birds.
We are currently living in Kent and sorry we don’t have a cage. |
| Jasper the Barraband - 2339
Hi, my name is Jasper.
I am a cheeky chappie and a friendly Barraband. I am about 2 years old. I am very friendly and love getting attention. I am looking for a home that has got plenty going on so I never get bored. I have a weird habbit though, I love eating seed of the floor... I could stay their for hours. If I have to live with other birds I would like them to be my size please as I don't like big birds. Please rehome me as I can not wait to show off to you.
I am currently living in Paignton, Devon and I do come with my own cage. |
| Turbo the Timneh Grey - 1475
Hello my name is Turbo, I am an Timneh African Grey.
I have been shunted about a lot and would really like a forever home. I am scared of people until I get to know you. I have had quite a traumatic life up to now but I am hoping for better times ahead. I am afraid of sticks and loud noises. I like my cage and feel safe in there. I like to go into the garden on warm sunny days, when there is no wind. I wouldn't mind a home with other birds as long as my cage is my own, but I like to listen to them, and I enjoy the company. I would like someone who is willing to give me the chance to become a friend, and would let me develop at my own pace. I like to climb out of my cage when I am ready and sit on the top. I don't fly well, I tend to fly downwards and then I can panic. I won't step onto your hand, but will accept being towelled once I know you are not going to hurt me.
I have a small cage of my own, but if you like me you might want to get me a bigger one. I am currently living in the West Midlands. |
| Poppy the African Grey - 1451
Hello, my name is Poppy, I am a beautiful well mannered and quiet African Grey.
I appear aloof at first but I just like to take my time. I don't want to be cuddled or picked up all the time but I will climb out of my cage and sit on top and watch you and the world go by. I am content to listen to you, and I am trying to talk, so I am hoping you will have lots of time to teach me. I don't have a cage but I have been living in a large dome shaped one with a top which opens. I like you to give me grapes I prefer black ones if there is a choice. Although I won't step onto you at the moment I might get confident one day, but you can towel me if you need to. I don't make too much of a fuss once I know you are not going to hurt me.
I am currently living in Whitby, Yorkshire. |
| Eric the African Grey - 1476
Hello my name is Eric and I am an African Grey.
I am a friendly bird who likes everybody. I am used to children and dogs. My previous owner never left the house and had 4 children so I am used to lots of company. I do not pluck and I have no bad habits. I don't have my own cage, but I have enjoyed a large one with a top opening and I like to sit on top and keep you company. I don't like small spaces (cages), I am good about my food and will eat almost anything. I can fly but not well, so I panic a bit when on the floor and will try to climb up again, I feel safer when off the ground.
I am currently living in Cleveland. |
| Billy the Ringneck Parakeet - 1958
Hi, my name is Billy and I'm a very pretty and special little girl looking for a very special loving home.
I am a very social little girl that just lurves to be involved with whatever you are doing. I can say my name and c'mon and will call to you if you leave the room as I like to be with you as much as possible. I also love to whistle 'Pop goes the weasel'!! I do bite occasionally and I need someone who will take time to get to know me as I have taken a long time to get to trust you humans but once that trust is established, I will reciprocate your love but may still give you the odd nip. Due to my bitey nature, my current Safe-house mum has been teaching me to step up on to a towel and I will happily do so. I'm also very good about stepping back into my cage from the towel. I have a VERY healthy appetite, especially when it comes to sharing your dinner and I will let you know if you haven't offered me enough!!
So far, I have shown a definite preference towards women but in my previous home, I preferred my Dad. Basically, I think if I like you I will bond with you whatever your gender. I am not keen on younger children at all and really need to be in a home with either no children or much older children. I would also prefer a home with few or no other birds as due to my sometimes aggressive nature i can be a bully to other birds but currently I live with 2 amazons but I get seperate 'out' time. I am quite happy to be on my own during the day with the radio or TV whilst you go out to earn enough pennies to buy me lots of food, did I mention that I just love my grub, hence you'll need a lot of pennies?
I need a home with a family that are experienced and will continue to work with me to help me over come my sometimes aggressive nature. I've come a very long way but need patience and love to help me continue my journey. Are you the family that can help me? I am not at all bothered by cats, I've lived with 2 of them previously and am used to being around dogs.
I do not come with my own cage and am currently living in Essex |
| Lucky the African Grey - 2361
Hello, my name is Lucky. Mum says I am a BIG, beautiful African Grey.
I am looking for a quiet home with an understanding new family who can help me gain in confidence. I have not learnt to step up and I am scared of hands and perches. My diet is not that good so I need suppliments, vitamins and calcium etc. but nothing fancy. I like to sit on top of the cage and watch what's going on from a distance. I don' t talk and rarely make any noise but this may change once I get settled somewhere. I will need a cage I'm afraid, it needs to be a good size as Mum says I am big boy! I currently live in a home with cats, dogs and other birds and they don't bother me, there are also kids but Mum makes them to leave me alone as I am shy! If you think I might fit in well with your family, please speak to the rehoming team who have more info on me.
I am currently living near Kings Lynn in Norfolk. |
| Lucy the African Grey - 2377
Well hello, my name is Lucy and I am a Congo African Grey.
I am about 10 years old and although I am called Lucy, my sex has not been verified... I am not telling! I am not really male OR female orientated but I am very cage territorial. I don't mind other birds, but I don't like small birds flying around me. I must admit, I don't really like being handled but I will let you pick me up from the floor. I am generally better away from my cage. I think I will need to live with someone who has experience with greys because I can be aggresive and need working with. Like most greys, I do talk and whistle and can be destructive.
I am currently living in South Lincolnshire and I do have my own cage. |
| Frankie - 1412 & Louis - 1782 the Nanday Conures
Hello, we are Frankie & Louis the Nanday Conures, who have been living together for 8 weeks now.
Frankie is very cage protective and I think I have started to copy him! :) We are very happy to be out on top of our cage but we will decide when we want to play with you. We are not nasty but have nipped if we don't want to step-up so please ask. We don't like to step up onto hands or skin but will step onto your arm or shoulder. We don't need lots of fuss as we like to fuss each other and do all our own preening. We love to chatter when we can see things going on but if you want some quiet time, we'll be good when you're sat down and quiet yourself. I like to talk and have learnt quite a few human words as well as how to sneeze so you say bless you to me. We are happy with both ladies and men but haven't had much chance to get to know any little people called children or other animals which you call pets. Frankie is 'oven ready' as he has plucked out all the feathers he can reach except his wings and tail but it hasn't made him any less happy now he has met me! We are looking for a new mummy or daddy, or both, to love us and let us be ourselves.
We are currently living in Torquay, Devon

| Harley - 2115 & Max - 1299 the Hahns Macaws
Hello, we are Max & Harley the Hanhs Macaws.
Although we have separate cages we need to be re-homed together as Harley got distressed when we were split up last and started to pluck. Now we are back together he has stopped and is letting his feathers grow back. We don't take much looking after, just let us out of our cages and we will play together all day. Harley likes to have a bit of a fly off to high places and our safehouse mum is constantly finding him on top of her bookcase ;) I'm what my safehouse mum calls 'oven ready' as i have plucked out lots of my feathers. She hasn't seen me do any since I moved in with her and I don't think they will grow back now but it doesn't bother me at all! We have been sharing a birdroom with 2 big Amazons, but they don't scare us, we're brave boys and do our best to out shout them if they are screaming! We will step up onto your arm or shoulder if we want to but let us decide. We don't like to step onto your hands or your skin. We are looking for a home with either a mummy or daddy or both. We haven't had experience with children or other pets but we don't mind giving them a try!
We are currently living in Torquay, Devon. |
| Jess the Hahns Macaw - 2324
Hello, my name is Jess and I'm a beautiful Hanhs Macaw.
I am a little nervous as I have only ever known one family as I grew up in my donor family's house since a baby. My safehouse mum and dad have tried really hard to make me feel welcome and I'm ready to find a new home for life. I don't pluck, destroy things or try to hurt anyone but I am still a bit likely to bite until I get used to you. I love spending time out of my cage and having a bit of a fly around, but please close the curtains as I sometimes fly into the windows! I prefer to sit with my safehouse dad but am not scared of being out if he's not a home, my safehouse mum just lets me do my own thing and doesn't bother me. I have a lovely cage full of toys which I love to play with so don't mind if you have to go to work. I would like a new family who have the patience to let me settle in and feel comfortable. I have lived with a dog and children before as well as an African Grey but would like a quieter house so I can get lots of attention. I am scared of cats though.
I am currently living in Torquay, Devon and I do have my own cage.

| Bill the Yellow Naped Amazon - 068
Hello (Loud) my name is Bill and I am a Yellow Naped Amazon and quite a chunky one at that.
I am a lovely bird who talks and sings quite loudly, but I don’t scream. I love the little green bird song Orvil and will join in if you sing it to me. I am a very friendly bird and I don’t bite. I love to be sprayed The Wetter The Better for me !!! As soon as you meet me you will fall in love as everyone does. I have can say many things and love to sing along to opera, any opera fans out there ? I love the ladies who have long hair as I love to preen them. I have a club foot which only has one claw on it, so when you clean me out all my toys have to be positioned in exactly the same place they came from or I will fall, apart from that I climb about extremely normal. I would like someone who is home most of the time. I don’t mind other birds as long as they don’t get on my cage, and if they touch my toys I will see them off!! I am used to dogs and cats. Is there a kind person out there who will look after me?
I currently live in Kent and do have my own cage. |
| Charlie the African Grey - 2352
Hi my name is Charlie,
I have not had a lot of time on me, so I will growl at first until I get to know you. I will then take a head scratch from both ladies and men. I love to whistle tunes and mimic many sounds although I have not spoken in my safehouse as yet. I would like someone who doesn’t work for too many hours a day, and quite a lively house as I love interation. I am use to other birds, but don’t let them on my cage or I will see them off!!. I am ok with my daddy who cleans me out and feeds me daily. I will be ok with you too when I get to know you. I love to climb off my cage and walk about the floor for a bit then climb back on my cage. I would like a house with no other pets as I have chased dogs and cats, I will then return to my cage with a lump of fur in beak, ha ha…. I was not out of my cage much at my old house and now I like to have my cage open for as long as possible. Is there someone out there who can share a lot of love with me?
I currently live in Kent and do come with my own cage. |
| Sprog & Casey the Blue Fronted Amazons - 1103
Hi everyone we are Sprog & Casey and we are both Blue Fronted Amazons.
I am Sprog and I am the larger one of the pair of us, with only one eye and I do get sore feet on occasions. I am also very protective of my friend, Casey.
I am Casey and I am the smaller of us, I am not as tame as Sprog, but I am better tempered when I am with him. We are a bonded pair and we cannot be separated.
We have a bit of a scrap now and again but then we make up and preen each other. We like a good sing song together or squawk as you humans say. Casey likes to flap her winds and pretend to fly, says Sprog. Sprog loves a good whistle and we love toys that we can destroy, says Casey. We don’t have any dietary problems and we like to eat all sorts ie: Fruit and the usual seed mixes. We need a home that will be able to look after us properly and we are birds with a very special need.
We are currently living in Bristol. |
| Bella the Maroon Bellied Conure - 2388
Hello my name is Bella, I am a very beautiful 6 year old Maroon Bellied Conure.
I am a sociable sweet girl who prefers the company of men but will have a scritch off women if my safehouse Dad isn’t around as he is my most favourite person. I love my food and will try lots of things, pine nuts are my absolute favourite though as soon as I hear the rattle of my jar I am anyones! Bedtime is one of my favourite times as I have a cozy hut perch which I love to sleep in, and when I wake up I will have a chatter with the other birds here, I do like other birds but I’m not so keen on those 4 legged things.
I live in Essex, I have my own cage but I need a new one as mine has seen better days. |
| Archie the Orange Wing Amazon - 2368
Hi my name is Archie and I'm a 20 year old Orange Winged Amazon.
My safehouse mum thinks I'm a boy. I'm quite a shy boy, quite wary of new people and surroundings, takes me a while to settle down. I love all my food, most people can feed me through the bars of my cage, sometimes it takes me a few minutes to come get the food I'm just sizing you up, seeing if you're nice. My safe house mum tells me I have beautiful eyes but I chewed my mirror (it had annoying bells on it) so I can't look at them at the moment. I do speak sometimes but I talk too quickly for you to hear what I say but my party trick is my telephone ring. My safe house mum says its crystal clear and I've been practising well. It takes me a long time to trust people and I do growl if I'm unsure, but I have never bitten anyone in my safehouse but sometimes if I'm really unsure I might threaten and lunge but I don't really mean it. My safehouse mum says I don't know how to bite. I've learnt how to step up on to a perch but I've also learnt how to jump off it too. I like to fly but just to the other cages and back to mine, I'm a bit rusty so need to do it a bit more. I love wooden toys and I love chewing them into tiny pieces. If you have other birds that will be great as I can teach them my songs. I'm also in a competition with the hoover to see who can be the loudest...... I think I may win!
I am in Essex and I am borrowing a cage so would like a cage of my very own please. |
| Bobbie the Orange Wing Amazon - 2360
(Loudly) HELLO!! MY NAME IS BOBBIE, and I'm a stunning Orange winged Amazon.
I would like to find a new forever home. I'm 14yrs old, so still a baby, I love everyone, but only want cuddles with one person at a time, I love my food and will try everything. I like to sit on your shoulder and clean your ears for you, but sometimes I can be a little loud, especially in the mornings and at dusk, but my Safe House Mummy told me that’s normal for a bird like me, I also like to help you talk on the phone too. I can step up, say lots of words and even wave Hello. Do you have room for someone like me?
I am currently living in South Lincolnshire |
| Sophie the Blue Fronted Amazon - 1548
Hello my name is Sophie and I'm a Blue Fronted Amazon.
I'm about 4 years old and beautiful, so my safe house mom and dad says even though I dont really like the dad or their teenage son. But I am fine with mum and the daughter (I think there is a pattern there I just dont like men) hehe. I like my cage door open so that I can go in and out as I please, I dont mind not having humans around for a time during the day. I am a good girl and I'm not that noisy, I am a little fussy with my food but I will try most things. Mom and dad say I really do deserve a nice forever home.
I am currently living in the West Midlands but I do not have my own cage, but I do have some toys.... |
| Archie the African Grey - 1626
Hi everyone, my name is Archie, I am a beautiful 4 year old Congo African Grey.
I am full of charm, and will win anyone over. My passion in life is to talk, this is why I get on with the family I am safe housing with. I can have a two sided conversation in two different voices (think you humans call it an argument). Sorry to say I do say a couple of naughty words, but not very often. I have fallen in love with my safe house mum and I try and feed her. I also do the mating thing with my wings but she having none of it,(hehe) Idealy I need a home where the MAIN carer is a female and theres lots going on, as I love to watch. I pick things up very quick (so you have to watch what you say around me). I laugh, I burp, I cry, I can mimic a ladies voice as well as a mans. My whistling can be a little loud, I constantly ring the telephone. Even though I do say so, who ever is lucky enough to pass all my tests, they will get an amazing new addition to the family.
I have my own cage, but I am in need of some new toys, please. I am currently living in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.

| Oscar the Timneh African Grey - 1492
Hiya, I'm Oscar. I am 23, and I am a very friendly, talkative chap.
I love nothing more than to sit on my stand and chat away to anyone who will listen. Although I don't actually need a listener, as I will often have much more interesting conversations when I am having them with myself! I have a really good vocabulary and surprise my safehouse mum and dad with a new word or noise every other day. I also have lots of wee stories that they say they cant understand but I know what it all means so that's fine. I love to be out of my cage and on one of my two stands that I brought with me, and I have to say I wasnt too keen on going in my cage at all, but I know I need to go in sometimes to make sure I'm safe when my safehouse mum n dad have to go out to earn pennies to buy me all my lovely food, so I am happy to spend a wee bit of time in my cage so long as its not for too long and I get left plenty of interesting things to keep me amused. I really love my food and if i like what you have I will ask for a bit, and if i think its going to be hot I will blow on it just like you do. I dont mind other birds so long as they leave me to do my own thing, but I dont like cats and dogs and I want to chase them away. I will even tell you if theres a 'bad cat' in the room. I like both males and females but I have to say I do much prefer my safehouse dad. When hes in, mum can take second place. I love to give him a cuddle and I give him a good head rub with my beak but he says it tickles.
I am currently living in Central Scotland. |
| Daisy the African Grey - 159
My name is Daisy, and I'm a very special African Grey.
I get on well with other pets, but I don't like birds much. I will tolerate them if they stay away from me and my cage. I can be territorial when I'm in my cage, but I've got used to my mum faffing about with food, water and toys. No-one else is allowed to touch the cage. Or me. I hate other African Greys. Some I will even attack, and I can get very angry with them. I 'm destructive, but not nasty. I like to chew my wicker basket, and the best thing of all is when mum puts in a cardboard box inside it, so I can chew that, too. I love it if someone sings to me, and I like to dance. I'm quiet (except when I remember the 'beep' noise, and I do sometimes make ghostie noises. I can talk, I can say 'halloooooooo', and 'three, four' but I haven't managed any more than that. My mum's upset about me moving on, but says that I don't get enough attention, and would be happier somewhere that would spend lots of time talking and singing to me. I quite like my dad, and I sometimes let him tickle me on the neck, but I prefer my mum to handle me. It's nice to sit on her shoulder and help her in the kitchen. I have my own cage, and my basket and mum says she'll provide a new cardboard box, too. I'm quite small for a Grey, and a beautiful silver colour, not dark pewter like some of the less pretty ones. I quite like my bell. I go inside the cage on command. I do enjoy a wander round the house, and I've learned to make a noise a bit like a frying egg when I do that, to avoid getting trodden on. Sometimes I like to go upstairs, just to see what's going on. It's fun to make the family jump when they hear my frying egg. I'm quite happy staying on my cage and chewing my basket for most of the time. I am responsive, just need someone to take some time with me. Oh yes, I don't mind being towelled too much. If I must move on, it should be soon. My wing clip will last most of the summer (I like to sit on the top of my cage in the sun in the garden) but when I do fly in the winter I don't fly very well, a bit like a brick, mum says. Can I come home with you? Please?

| Henry the Mealy Amazon - 1128
Hi there my name is Henry and I am a Mealy Amazon (so please remember that I am a really big parrot).
I need a forever home where there is lots of love and care. I will let you stroke my head/neck on my terms then I will let you know when I have had enough. I can nip, I need a experienced Amazon person or someone who likes a challenge and is not scared of a nip/bite on the finger. I do not mind dogs, I am not sure on cats or other type of pets including children. So please give me a forever home this is all I want. Thank you Love Henry xxxx

| Rosie & Tim the Senegals
Hi, I’m Rosie & this is my partner Timmy.
I’m the more outgoing and brave one. I like to sit on my cage & chew up an old magazine or paper. I like to have a fly around, but watch me I like to chew thing’s. I love it when my safe house mum comes at breakfast time & shouts breakfast’s ready.” I love my ready break”. Teatime’s good to I like most food’s. I also like apple’s oranges & pears the best for my snack. Mum gives us a mini Hobnob or a Digestive for a treat!! I’m quite happy sitting on top of my cage & playing. I do whistle but & sometime’s screech, usually when me & Timmy are having a lover’s tiff!! Hi, I’m Timmy & me & Rosie really love each other, that’s why I’m bald on top, “Hen Pecked” as my safe house mum say’s!! As Rosie say’s I’m the timid one, I will take something from your fingers but you have to come towards me slowly. Like Rosie i too love to chew on wood, paper or a piece of cardboard, I have my favourite toy which I sleep in & don’t like to be without. Mum say’s we are no trouble, but we do want someone that doesn’t leave us alone too often, we are not that used to being in a cage, we were in an aviary before. Our safe-house mum has bought us out of our shells so to speak. She thinks we are now ready to have a foster home that will carry on what she started.
A note from safe house mum:- These two are quite a pair!! I think they will get braver & braver if you work them. They have come sooo far. They deserve a good home now. Rosie does have asthma attacks now & again but if you stay calm & talk to her gently she soon picks up. If you panic & make a fuss it make’s thing’s worse. They both love it when you just sit talking to them, they do respond, in time I’m sure they will make lovely pet’s. At bedtime Rosie likes her head tickled through the bars. Watch your finger’s though she lets you know when she’s had enough!! |

| Jack the Blue Crowned Conure - 2390
Hello, my name is Jack and I'm a very pretty Blue Crowned Conure.
I'm in super condition and love coming out of my cage, also my safehouse Daddy often takes me outside in my cage and I watch him work on the garden. I'm a little cage territorial, but my safe house daddy has two other cages which he keeps me in and this has really helped me with this issue. Also daddy uses this system called Postive Reinforcement which is great cos it means I get lots of treats and he never tells me off, therefore I'm always prepared to try new things to return the favour.
I don't like cats, and when I see one I let daddy know by making a distress call, daddy then runs into the garden and scares the cat away for me, as he doesn't like cats either! I also seem to prefer men to women. I can be a little nippy when I'm in my cage, but am a lot better once I'm out and about. I'm not a great lover of human hands, and prefer stepping up onto a cushion and then onto your shoulder. When I'm out of my cage I don't fly around much, I just enjoy sitting and watching what's going on. I don't make a lot of noise, but after all I am a bird so will vocalise when I think I'm missing out of some action! I am completely silent in the mornings until I'm woken up. I say a few words, and understand a couple of commands. Daddy says that I'm a lovely bird and he wishes he could keep me, but some of my cousins need his help much more than me. I'm really looking forward to meeting my new daddy & mummy.
I come with my own cage and I currently live in Norfolk.

| Borris the African Grey - 1608
Hello, my name is Borris but I like to be called Bozza for short.
I am such a funny bird I have my safe house mum and dad in giggles. I like to show off when people come round and visit. I show them my little dance in hope I get some treats. My safe house dad is working on step up with a perch. I will do it with one foot, then stop and look at him hehehhehe one day I will do it and I hope I get a good treat. I love my cage by your sofa as I love to try and catch your attention when you want to watch TV. I have so many ways of saying hello I cannot wait to tell that special someone. I dont mind playing with my toys while you work then you can buy me some new ones. I love to eat them all. I am not a loud bird and I don't have a scream. I just like to whistle and make nice sounds and mutter thing quietly. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee say you want me and will love me and carry on with step up and trying for a cuddle. I do put my head down for one but am still scared.

| Bernie the Orange Wing Amazon - 1444
Hello my name is Bernie and I am a Orange Wing Amazon.
My safe house dads say that I am a pleasure to have around. I am a small parrot with comical attitude, my dads say that I am a female, but im not telling lol. I'll keep this to myself for a while longer. I do like a tickle on my head and chin but that is as far as it goes at the moment, I am not keen on hands around my feet at the moment but im sure that I will come round to this part once i get a family of my own. I am not a noisy bird but I do have my own call in the evening and when i can smell the rain but this is not harsh nor loud. I like to be sprayed every other day with luke warn water in a clear spray bottle, im not too sure of these coloured ones. I don’t mind dogs, at the moment, there are 3 where I live. The are 2 small ones and 1 big one. I don’t mind the big one as long as it leaves me alone, and keeps away from my garlic bread that’s fine with me. I like to take part of family activites, i will sit in my cage playing happily while you watch telly and would help your daily/evening tasks, I would like a family to call my own and be part of the family.
I am currently living in Hinckley, Leicestershire. |
| Pedro the Mealy Amazon - 1603
Hallo, my name is Pedro and I am a big, handsome, Mealy Amazon.
I don't like to be handled as I'm quite a nervous bird, but you can tickle my toes once I know you, and I'll call you Ronnie. I chat a lot, especially when you want a quiet word with your visitors and I can launch into my idea of opera...my own words, of course. I have amy own cage, although I've recently taken over the one my safehouse mum had lined up for a cockatoo, and I have lovely feathers which I don't pluck. I am also a very good guard bird, so nooo chance of people slipping in unnoticed. I don't know how to play with toys very well yet, despite being 12 years old, but I'm a master at shredding sweetcorn cobs if that's any help, and I'll eat most things..yours, if offered, and mine. I don't mind dogs and can bark quite well now, but I'm not too keen on being left on my own for long as I was not allowed out of my cage for a year, so would like some freedom please, though sitting on my cage people-watching is usually as much as I want to do.
It might take me a little time to learn to trust you, but I'm a beautiful bird and will listen to your troubles for hours, without giving away any of your secrets, so I'm a very good counsellor and well worth the wait.
I am currently living in Leicester. |
| Skipper the Eclectus - 1631
Hello my name is Skipper, I am a male Eclectus, age 6 years .
I am a very timid Eclectus, I don’t like new things. I am looking for my forever home with a nice quiet family, who would leave me to sit on top of my cage and watch the world go by. They would have to feed me a well balanced diet as in the past I have suffered a vitamin A deficiency.
I love to try all the new things that my safe house mum has been giving me, but only when shes not watching. I haven't had many toys before, so I do have to get used to them before you put them in my cage. I have my own cage and I am available right now, so please get in touch so I can choose my new family.
I am currently living in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. |
| Charlie the African Grey - 1490
Hello, my name is Charlie and I am a lovely girl.
I am not a noisy bird. I love to talk and sing and watch out of the window. I do not like unfamiliar or large objects passing by my cage or I panic a bit. I love to have lots of interaction and have my neck scratched, I will step up. I do have a huge macaw sized cage which my safehouse mum says is far too big for me because I can be very cage territorial, and get high above you. At my safehouse I am in a smaller cage and I am a really good girl. I have plucked my feathers on my chest and shoulders due to stress, but Im still beautiful. I am a little bit timid, and will always try to sit on your shoulder or head, which my Mum is trying to stop me doing at the moment and trying to get me to be confident and sit on her knee or arm instead. I have numerous toys to bring with me, I like them changed round now and again.
I am currently living in Carlisle and I have my own cage, but a smaller one would be better for me. |
| Spencer the African Grey - DK39
Hi Im Spencer. I am 12 years old.
I come with my own cage, but will need some toys and perches. I am hand tame with my safe house Mum and will step up for her 14 year old son, but I dislike my safe house dad.
I think I prefer women. I need a home where it doesn't matter who I choose. I just loves to sit on my chosen ones shoulder and be where ever they are- watching TV, on the computer -what ever as long as I am getting attention and strokes. I am clipped so can go outside at the moment which I enjoy. I have plucked for many years but since being in Birdline I seem to have stopped and have signs of regrowth! I can say "Hello" and "Spencer" and will whistle, but I am not noisy. I can be destructive if I am not watched when I am out of my cage, I will nibble at any wood I can reach. I love my food and will gladly share whatever you have- I love to share a cup of tea! (decaf of course) In fact I am gorgeous and just crying out to be spoilt. I need to go to someone with lots of time and who wants a bird that likes to interact with them. I just wants to spend time with my chosen one, but I will play happily in and on my cage too. I am use to cats and dogs, and other parrots. I would be happy for you to work for a few hours a day, but don’t leave me for too long. I know I have the potential to become more tame with my chosen one.
I am currently living in Surrey and do have my own cage. |
| Sid the African Grey - 1609
Hello my name is Sid; I am a very handsome Congo African Grey.
I have all my own feathers and have been DNA tested and has confirmed that I am definitely a boy. I am a bit territorial concerning my cage – well a gentleman’s home is his castle isn’t it? So if any intruders come near I do sometimes feel I have to protect my home. Although recently, when I am in a good mood I have let my safe home dad scratch my head through the bars and he seems really pleased with me. However when I am out of my cage I am quite happy to sit on anyone’s hand and watch the world go by. I like being out of my cage and love flying around the room and stretching my wings. I am a bit of a ladies man although I tolerate my safe home dad because he gives me treats when I am a good boy. I like mimicking sounds and think its really funny when people go to answer the phone only to find no-one on the line (ha ha it was me again), I do a really good impression of a fire engine too. I am looking for a forever home where I can get lots of attention, lots of time out of the cage which will help me feel less protective over my cage.
I do come with my own cage, although it’s a bit small and if my forever home parent could get a bigger one that would be fantastic. I am currently living in Stafford. |
| Spike the Mealy Amazon - 1481
Hi guys, my name is Spike and I am a Mealy Amazon.
I am very handsome and don't I know it. I am 6 years old and I love the ladies. Men are OK if one of the lady friends hands me over to them, but otherwise I will make myself look big and scare them away with my growl. I am a big softy and it's all a bluff really but don't tell the men that. When I was younger I got my foot stuck in a toy and it has left me a little wobbly. I don't fall of my cage, but I do have difficulty stepping up. My safehouse mum has learn't to 'scoop' me up as my foot keeps hold when I don't want it to. I sometimes growl and try and nip her with my beak but she knows I would never bite her. It's all for show and I love a cuddle really. I will eat anything you give me except bananas, but my favorites are strawberries, and peas. I have my own cage but it is a bit tatty and the door is just big enough for me to get out of. I can even open it when no one is looking. I love being out of my cage and chewing wooden toys or picture rails. I even helped my safehouse mum strip her wallpaper! I would like to go to a lovely ladies house where I can be spoilt every day in every way.
I am currently living in Wirral and I come with my own cage. |
| Charie the Red Speckled Conure - 1465
Hello my name is Charlie.
I am a Red Speckled Conure, with all my feathers. I want to be someones best friend but I need time to settle in to a new family, the more noise there is the more I love it, but I can get over excited, and squeal, shout and whistle but it only to show that I am enjoying myself. I am a very friendly bird, but I do have a problem with hands. I really don’t like them. If I am allowed to sit on your shoulder, this makes my day. I come out of my cage on command "common then" and that’s all the encouragement I need, and when you want me back in my cage just say "go home" (the tone of your voice has to change with the command go home). I absolutly love attention, so my cage needs to be where I can see whats going on around me. I must be covered up at night with a dark cloth, otherwise I don’t know you want me to go to bed, I havent spoken a word but I do some fantastic whistles. At my safehouse theres is a dog and other birds which don’t seem to bother me. I eat all fruit and veg, but I had become addicted to sunflower seeds, so I am slowly being weened off these.
I do have my own cage, I am in derbyshire. |
| Tosca the African Grey - 1538
Hi, my name is Tosca, and what a wonderful bird I am.
I am so laid back about things it is unbelievable. You wouldn't know if I was in the same room as you, because I am so well behaved and don't scream or shout at all! Life is too short, so I take things in a laid back way. No one knows how old I am, or even if I am male or female, but that doesn't really matter, does it? I love to listen to you talk; I will just sit there and stare into your eyes and take it all in. I don't bite. I love to have my head scratches and beak to beak kisses. My Safe House mum thought I was a man's bird, but I have proved her wrong, 'cos she and I get along fine, and we even give each other kisses and have a few cuddles as well! I do talk, and have such a sweet voice too. I will keep telling you to come along and hurry up, especially when it's my food time. I'm a really good parrot. I don't eat a lot of junk food, but a few chips go down well... I don't eat a lot of seed because my Safe House mum fills my large bowl up with plenty of fruit and veggies, and I do enjoy these and will empty my bowl very quickly. If I'm still hungry I may eat some seed. I love company, and do not mind other birds.
I'm living in Surrey at the moment, but don't have my own cage. |
| Billy the Green Cheeked Conure - 1438
Hello, my name is Billy and I am a Green Cheeked Conure.
I am 1 years old and I am looking for my forever home with a patient family 0r retired couple. I have my own beautiful cage which I feel safe in so I would like to keep it as my home. I am not a cuddly bird, I like to sit on the top of my cage and watch the world go by, as long as someone keeps me well fed and watered, and a clean cage I will be happy. I do whistle, sometimes people say I am a little loud, but that’s just a reminder that I am still here. I do like to be sprayed with a fine mist from a bottle. I do miss my previous owner so my nerves are getting the better of me at the moment. I need someone with bags of patients to win me over and in return I promise to be your best friend. I have been with other birds but not had much to do with them, there is also a dog here at my safehouse, he doesn’t bother me and I don’t bother him. I am waiting in my safehouse for the right person to come along. Please don’t make me wait too long,as I want to get settled into my new home.
I am currently living in Heanor, Ilkeston and I do have my own cage. |
| Buzz-buz the Senegal - 1428
Hello all you guys out there, I am the bird for you. (sorry I don’t like females)
My name is Buzz, I am a 2 year old Senegal. I have had 3 homes before coming into Birdline but sadly got moved on as previous owners didn’t recognise that I only like men. Even though I do say so myself, I am beautiful. I have all my feathers which I preen daily. I love to bath daily in my own water dish and boy do I like getting wet (sometimes the floor does too) but its so much fun that my safehouse daddy forgives me. My second enjoyment in life is food. I just love it. Anything is worth a try, but as I was addicted to peanuts and monkey nuts I don’t have these at the moment as I am being weaned off them. Anything you have I do like to try so be careful. I like to share (he-he). Third enjoyment in life is a cuddle with my safehouse daddy. Other animals don’t really bother me, I am with 2 dogs and 3 other parrots. There is a female in my safehouse, but I am sorry to say I have bitten her and the ACO who picked me up. I liked being covered up at night as this makes me feel safe.
I don’t have my own cage and I currantly live in Derbyshire. |
| Noodles the African Grey - 886
My name is Noodles and I am an African Grey.
I am looking for a male foster home where I can safely have the choice to come & go, in and out of my cage. I like to sit on top of my cage and come and see you for a head scratch in my own time. I can talk but I am not noisy. I don't mind dogs, but l don't like them barking all the time. I prefer men to women and I would like to be the only bird so that I can have lots of attention. I am good about my food and will try most things, although I am a bit messy due to my foot problem and I cannot use my foot to eat properly, this means I sometimes fall off my perch.
I'm afraid I don't have a cage, and I am currently living in Paignton. |
| Jack the Cherry Conure - 1417
Hi, I'm Jack, the Cherry Conure.
I am between 7 and 8 years old. I adore being the centre of attention and love a good scritch and cuddle. Food wise I love to eat a good quality seed and will try anything you are eating too, so beware - but it doesn’t mean to say I will like it though! If I have a favourite fruit it must be a little plum. I will try other fruit and veg but I am not over keen on them - maybe you could help on this. Good points, hmmmm. I am a delightfully friendly chap who loves to be the centre of your universe. I love human contact and will come and perch on you for a scritch but love to also perch on high and watch you. I come to both male and female equally and will step up most of the time. The other little bit of time I love to be a little imp he he he!!!. I even talk a little - and very clearly for a conure!!! Unfortunately I do not appear to be good with other birds as I do like to be the centre of attraction and can be naughty with the competition - I don't bother with size he he!!! Those furry things called dogs can be great sport and I have been know to try my luck at throwing my weight around with them. Have to say though that I have behaved impeccably with the quiet one in my current safe house. As for children I am not sure but as a fairly laid back character I should be OK with respectful older children who would sneak me treats he he!!. Really my ownly downside would be that I am a typical Aratinga and can be very noisy - especially when I want attention.
Safehouse note. Jack is an adorable character with oodles of wonderful charm - a real pleasure to share your life with. He is one of the larger Aratinga's and unfortunately for him has quite a voice when he wants his own way. He is always quiet when out of the cage, and would make an absolutely wonderful companion bird for someone who is around most of the day. To be fair to Jack (and yourselves) please be sure that you could help him monitor his noise levels before you apply for him. Jack deserves the best home ever and if given a chance will completely enchant and reward you with his wonderful character.
I am currently living in Bradford, West Yorkshire. |
| Alfie the African Grey - 1447
Hello my name is Alfie and I am an African Grey.
I am very friendly towards men but have to be in the mood for female company and I will warn a lady if Im not happy by blowing a "raspberry" before I pinch/nip. I dont mind little people but obviously Im not overly keen on being poked or having fingertips poked through my cage. I absolutely LOVE all food!! But, I like to eat from my bowl and wont take anything handed to me. I can "step up" but sometimes I am a little wary and mum says Im "still learning but doing well" :) I love to chatter away but be warned, I do say some naughty words... Eg: I sometimes say "I love you" and then follow on with "B****CKS!"
I have a nice big cage and am currently in Willenhall, West Midlands. |
| Billy the Yellow Crowned Amazon - 1637
Hiiii my name is Billy and I'm a very friendly and talkative birdy.
I LOVE attention and lots of it! I am a yellow crowned amazon. I really love talking to kids and being out of my cage all day is brilliant! If you are a tea drinker....beware! Because I love it and will try to steal it from you and drink it all up hahaahaa!!! I often tell people I am a "gud goy" and if you put me back in my cage I scream "helllllp". Food is yummy and i'll try anything offered to me..... which has resulted in me being a little podgy...whoops!
I'm currently staying in Walsall, West Midlands with my very own lovely big cage :) |
| Thomas the Nanday Conure - 1065
Hello my name is Thomas and I am a child loving Nanday Conure.
My safe house carers say I'm no trouble at all and I try any food offered to me. I adore my safe house carers son and I often try to feed him whilst I sit on his shoulder. I can step up but I'm a little stubborn sometimes and I have been known to nip the adults. I just try to stick up for myself because theyre HUGE compared to me! I love being out of my cage exploring and getting lots of attention from children, they keep me entertained and happy.
Currently, I'm in Walsall, West Midlands but I dont have my own cage. |
| Suzie the Senegal - 1617
Hello, my name is Suzie and I am a Senegal Parrot.
I am an old lady that just loves to sit in my cage and watch the world go on around me. I liked to be talked to but I don't like to be fussed. I don't really like coming out of my cage, at least not yet. I'm no trouble at all and am not a fussy eater. My favorite food has got to be grapes.. I love them. I also enjoy being sprayed occasionally.. keeps the feathers good in old age. I would love to live with that special someone that will give an old lady a home and talk to me and keep me company even if im gazing out of the window.
I'm currently in Walsall, West Midlands and I have my own cage. |
| Baby the Indian Ringneck - 1496
Hello, my name is Baby.. why Baby? because that is what I say all the time.
I was found in a garden, so the people called Birdline, and they came to get me. My safehouse mum says I am a lovely friendly bird and I love to have lots of Interaction. I am also a very good clear talker. I always say "Hello Baby", "Come on", and "I'll be a good boy". I'm afraid I do not have my own cage so if you could get me one, I could come and live with you. I will not take much looking after, and I am a really sweet boy. I love all kinds of fruit and veg, and I like a bit of buttered toast for breakfast, and I do like an odd nibble of a digestive biscuit if you care to share with me. I've not really learned to step up yet, but I will fly to you and sit on your shoulder, and I'm not fussy if you are a man, woman or child, I like everyone.
I'm in Carlisle and I am really looking forward to meeting my new mum and dad. |
| Elmo the African Grey - 2555
Hi, I am Elmo an 18 year old CAG.
Not much is known about me and I'm not telling, I was flying free and decided to fly one day into a nice lady's house. I love to kiss you whether you are male or female, but I think I would really like a confident man to look after me cos my safehouse says sometimes I get too big for my boots and try to get up to mischief so need a firm hand. I don't really do stepping up yet but I think thats because I haven't found the one I want to step up to yet. I am good really, though I do like my cage a little too much, well it is my space after all. I am a fussy eater but we can have fun in trying lots of new foods and if I dont like it I will just fling it to the bottom of my cage!
I am in Essex and I am borrowing a cage so will need one of my very own please. |
| Alfie the African Grey - 1616
Hi! Im Alfie the Congo African Grey!
I'm probably a girl though so I hope you dont mind still calling me Alfie! I'm looking for a special daddy to look after and love me. I am shy and wary to start with, but as long as you give me some time to get used to you, I will reward you with how much of a loving bird I am! I'm not keen on women being around my safehouse daddy when I am on him at all. I will step up to them if I really have to, although I will bite otherwise. I do courtship dances for my safehouse daddy and I even shout for him in his girlfriends voice! I pick things up very quick. I'm a brilliant speaker, and I will entertain you for hours with the noises & words I can do, I will even have a conversation with you! I'm very good with my food, although a little messy. I will try pretty much everything. Let me be your best friend and I will feel safe and happy. I love scratches and sitting on your chest or arm cuddling upto you for hours. I may protest when you put me back on my cage, but thats only because I would prefer to stay with you! I will step up as often as you like though. Give me time and I will even step out of my cage for you. I come with my own cage, and I will sit on the top door all day watching the world go by if you let me, although remember to put some paper down! (hehe) I am fine with you going out the house for a few hours, but I really need someone who will be around a lot of the time because I miss you when your gone! I am not destructive, and I do not screech or upset the neighbours. My safehouse mummy says I am in beautiful condition (I have to agree!) and I have never plucked my feathers. I don't mind the silly Labrador dog they have, and I am polite to the other birds my safehouse parents have, although I'd rather all the attention was on me. If you can give me the time I really deserve, please be my foster daddy. I will be a great friend to you and I'm certain you will love me just as much back!
I am currently living in Lincolnshire. |
| Blaze the Fiery Conure - 1621
Hello my name is Blaze.
I am a very handsome looking chap. I am a friendly fellow who loves to sit on my cage and watch all the world go by, I don't mind my home being busy, it gives me lots to see. I am very quiet for a conure, I have a noise that I make but its quiet and I don't use it that often. I am a little shy at first and can nip but once I get to know you I will happily step up onto you finger and perch happily on your shoulder. I don't mind who i go to, in my safe house i will happily go to my mummy, Daddy and their older children, I just want to be included and would like somebody who has lots of time to give me. I'm not very keen on my fruit and vegetables, Mum keeps trying to tell me that they are good for me, but I'm not so sure! I've just discovered that I quite like oranges, which keeps Mum happy. I came with lots of toys that I like to hang from.
I have a lovely big cage and currently live in North Bedfordshire. |
| Nipper the Timneh Grey - 1433
Hello! I'm Nipper & I'm looking for a new mummy please.
I am outgoing & pleasant when I want to be. Please dont tickle me unless I ask or I will live up to my name. I like to be kept occupied or I will chew your furniture. I look for trouble if you leave me to my own devices. I am a loving bird who likes attention, so it would be great if my new mum was home all day, I do like company. I can talk a little & have picked up some new words. I'm learning to whistle instead of screaching too!! My safe house mummy thinks I'm a cheeky little boy!! I'm always looking for trouble. I like to be out of my cage too. I'll go to bed for you though. I like a tickle on my head, but I will live up to my name and nip if I dont want to be bothered!! I do have a twisted beak that grows very fast and you have to be confident enough to trim & file it when it needs it. The only other option is to go to the vet frequently. I have tried all the food mum gives to me, I'm not fussy with my food. I do like toast for breakfast please. I don't have favourite toys, although I do like plenty of news paper on the bottom of the cage to hide under and play peek-a-boo. I like nothing better than just to sit with you, I do like to watch TV with you too! If you can give me love & attention I will love you back!!
I am currently living in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire.

| Amos the Senegal - C1
Hello my name is Amos and I am a beautiful Senegal Parrot.
I am 22 years young who just wants a home to call my own and be part of a family so I can watch what you all get up to and listen to whats goung on. Although I am not hand tame I am not a flghty bird, I am getting use to comming out of my cage in the evening but i will do this in my own time. I enjoy my food and will try some of those things you humans call fruit and veg, I dont mind males nor females and other birds but not to close to my cage or land on it. I am used to dogs as I live with 2 small and 1 large but I will lunge at the cage if they come to close so I like my cage higher than the dogs. I do come with my own cage but this is a little worn and could do with a new one, but not to large as I am use to the size that I have and suits me, a few toys would be nice.
I am currently living in Hinckley. |
